A Sense of Place

The cats are out on the streets of Catskill! Here is mine, in front of the Community Theatre.

Sorry no progress photos this year… life was just too busy, and of course, finishing the cat in the first place is the first priority.

I can’t wait to take a better look at the rest of this year’s litter!

My friend Bob (the Livingston History Sheep) asked me to join him at the Sheep & Wool Festival at Clermont today. I can’t wait to meet some sheep, see the pretty wool yarn, and to learn more about the Livingston Family! Stop by and say hello (Bob is even handing out autographs!)

As Luykas’ photographer and driver, I’m headed to Clermont State Historic Site today too- can’t wait!

Museum Diary: The Top 5 Reasons to Follow a Museum Mascot on Social Media -

I’m working on some research for an article on Luykas Groundhog, and found this.  love Erin Blasco’s “Top 5 Reasons to Follow a Museum Mascot,” and indeed the whole series she and Owney (the Smithsonian National Postal Museum’s canine mascot) wrote on museum mascots.  Owney, and some of the others are definitely inspiring.

So, I’m back from my wee trip to Edinburgh and I had an absolutely amazing time. Besides catching up on lots of baby-free shopping, eating out and going to the cinema, I finally managed to visit the Museum of Fire, one of Edinburgh’s hidden gems, see the excellent Fascinating…
